Data Engineer

About the role:

As Data Engineer, you will be part of the team designing the foundation that powers our data-driven decision-making across the company. You’ll build and scale robust data pipelines and orchestration systems that ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable, supporting everything from product analytics to strategic business insights. We are looking for a Data Engineer who thrives on solving complex data challenges, takes ownership of critical infrastructure, and collaborates cross-functionally to drive a data-first culture.

What You'll Achieve:

• Design and own the infrastructure that makes data accessible, trustworthy, and actionable across the company.
• Build and maintain core datasets that serve as sources of truth for product, analytics, and business teams.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deeply understand data needs, and deliver scalable, efficient pipelines that evolve with those needs.
• Implement automated workflows that reduce manual effort, ensure data SLAs are met, and pave the way for a self-serve data culture (dashboards, data cataloging, exploration).
• Help establish best practices in data modeling, quality checks, schema evolution, and documentation as we grow our data footprint.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

• Data engineering experience: You’ve spent 3+ years building scalable data pipelines and crafting datasets that enable analytics, ML, or reporting. You care about accuracy, reusability, and performance.
• Cloud-native fluency: You’ve worked with modern data stacks in AWS, GCP, or Azure. You're familiar with data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery and understand tradeoffs in storage engines and schema design.
• SQL mastery: You’re fluent in writing complex queries involving window functions, subqueries, UDFs, partitions, and clustering - optimized for correctness and speed.
• Programming chops: You’re confident in writing clean, maintainable code in Python (or Java/Scala), and can build robust data transformations and workflow logic.
